HaulageBoard

Terms

HaulageBoard is a marketplace operated by HaulageBoard Group. We introduce people with loads to people with vehicles and keep the record of what was agreed. The transport contract is between the poster and the mover, and so is the payment. We are not a party to either.

Fees

Joining and posting are free. Movers pay £19.98 a month to quote and to take book now prices, billed monthly and cancellable at any time from your settings. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for. Part months are not refunded.

On top of that, £2.98 is charged to each side when a load is confirmed as completed. It is a flat fee, not a commission, so it does not rise with the value of the load.

Fees are added up as you go and taken as one payment on the 28th of the month. A confirmed load is billed. We do not refund the fee on a completed job, whether or not the two of you later fall out over the money, because the work the fee pays for has already been done.

If a card is declined you have seven days to sort it before quoting pauses. Nothing else about the account changes, and everything you have stays exportable.

If your subscription lapses you keep your account, your score, your reviews and every document. You can still browse and you can still export everything. You cannot send new quotes until it is active again.

Payment between the parties

We do not hold, move or handle the money for a load. The poster pays the mover directly, on the payment terms shown on that load when it was posted. Those terms are set by the poster and are visible to every mover before they quote.

Either side can mark a load settled once the money has landed. Doing so is a statement of fact between the two of you and does not make us responsible for it. If a poster does not pay, that is a debt between them and the mover, and the record we hold is available to both.

Movers

You must hold valid goods in transit insurance and, where the law requires one, a goods vehicle operator licence. You are responsible for the load in your care and for carrying it lawfully.

Cancellation

A poster can take a load off the board free at any point before it is booked. After booking and before collection, either side can cancel, nothing is owed between them and neither side is charged our fee. Once the load has been collected it is a job that has happened, so a cancellation is treated as a dispute and both of you get to put your side of it.

Disputes

Raise it on the load. The other side is told straight away and gets to answer before anybody here looks at it, and what each of you writes is shown to the other. We then go on the POD, the messages and the load detail as posted, and we say who we find for and why. Both of you get that in writing.

We hold none of the money for a load, so what we decide cannot move it. What it does is record whether the amount stands as owed between you or comes off the record here, and it goes on the account of whoever it was found against. None of that affects your legal rights against the other party, and you are free to pursue the debt yourself whatever we find.

Our fee on a completed job is separate and is not affected by a dispute either way. A repeated pattern of findings against the same account puts a hold on taking new work here while we go through it with them. Anything they already have booked still runs.

Behaviour

No fake loads, no quoting on work you cannot legally carry, and no taking a booking then going direct to avoid the fee. Any of those and we close the account.
